Amber Stryker is a die-hard New Yorker having been born in Manhattan, raised in Queens and presently lives on the South Shore of Long Island in Western Suffolk County. She and her late husband of 48 years devoted much of their leisure time to saving abandoned and abused cats. The cats plus Long Island are often featured in her writing.

Ms. Stryker, who has degrees in both English and Literature, published a cat newsletter that had a large following for over twenty years. She was awarded the Harmony Editors’ Award for Excellence. She is the author of Unicorn Dreams, an amusing family saga that spans three generations.  She has also written an historic romance under the name Morgana Edan. Her latest book is Catherine, Child of the Night. It is an exciting tale of knights and their ladies in Fourteenth Century England.

Regardless of the genre she is writing, Ms. Stryker approaches them all with thorough research, intelligence and humor.
